Technical fit

What this service can—and cannot—address

Reduce water entry at vulnerable doors, walkouts, garages, windows and low openings.

  • A barrier can redirect water to another opening.
  • Water depth creates pressure on the door, walls and anchors.
  • Egress and safe deployment must remain part of the plan.

Flood Ready separates observations from assumptions, identifies permits and municipal-programme requirements, and documents the work included in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you book

Where can a flood barrier help?

Common applications include basement walkouts, low exterior doors, garages, stairwells and selected windows where surface water reaches a defined opening.

Permanent door or removable barrier?

Permanent systems reduce deployment dependence; removable systems preserve everyday access but require storage, warning time and trained installation.

Will a barrier make the home flood-proof?

No. It addresses a defined entry point within its limits. Groundwater, sewer backup, rainfall behind the barrier and other openings remain separate risks.

Do you provide an assessment first?

Yes. Opening measurements and site conditions must be reviewed before a responsible recommendation or quotation.
