Technical fit

What this service can—and cannot—address

See the accessible inside of a storm or sanitary lateral before planning valve or repair work.

  • A camera does not show the outside of the pipe.
  • Standing water can obscure defects and does not by itself prove exact grade.
  • Cleaning or locating may be required for a complete answer.

Flood Ready separates observations from assumptions, identifies permits and municipal-programme requirements, and documents the work included in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you book

Why inspect before a backwater valve?

The inspection can help confirm the lateral route, condition, connections and potential obstructions before the installation plan is finalized.

Will I receive footage?

The scope should identify the video, still images and summary information provided.

Can the camera find every defect?

No. It shows the visible internal surface under the inspection conditions. Additional locating, cleaning, testing or excavation may be required.

Is CCTV required for Markham rebates?

Markham’s current process includes CCTV information in parts of the technical review and application workflow.
